OUR TEAM

Brody Braunstein

Founder & President

Brody Hale Braunstein is a songwriter, recording as both a solo artist, and in collaboration with other young musicians. Brody became interested in opening his own studio after realizing the immense, hourly cost of renting studio spaces and professional sound engineers. Wanting to become independent of these restraints, Brody began teaching himself music production at the age of fourteen. After honing his skills in coursework at Berklee College of Music and NYU’s Steinhardt School of Music, Brody is now in a position to help other young creatives. Brody has held paid positions in setting up PA systems and mixers at live events, as as an audio engineer. Complimenting Brody’s natural musicianship is a keen awareness of the importance of marketing, branding, and exposure for young artists in today’s music industry. While technology has made it possible for aspiring artists to record and post music on services such a Youtube, Soundcloud, and Spotify, it has actually become harder to be heard. Without targeted promotion driving listeners, influencers, and industry decision makers towards independent new music, real traction in the music business has become elusive for most. Studio8Collaborative seeks to help bridge the gap between aspiration and recognition for young artists. Brody is currently serving as the audio intern for Verso Studios at the Westport Library, helping community members turn their creative visions into realities.

Siri Kanter

Director of Communications and Outreach

Hello, I am Siri Kanter, a rising senior at Staples High School. Since I was little, I have adored writing. This interest led me to journalism in middle school, and I have continued this journalism career throughout high school. I have been involved with the school newspaper, Inklings, since my sophomore year and have been both a staff writer and editor. For the upcoming school year, I’m going to be Inklings’ associate managing editor. My other passion is activism -- my biggest desire is making the world a better place. For the past two summers, I have volunteered at a Native American reservation in La Plant, South Dakota and worked with the children at a summer camp. I also am a member of Builders Beyond Borders, an organization in which students have the opportunity to travel to internationally and help developing communities. As the Director of Communications and Outreach for the Studio8Collaborative, I hope to blend these two activities. I have always felt that music has the power to heal and inspire people. Although I’m (unfortunately) not very musically-inclined, music has proven a platform for me to relax and de-stress, and I’m eager to see how Studio8 transforms live

Tavish Lesica

Merchandising & Artistic Director

Over the entirety of my life so far I have always been very motivated to create new ideas in art, music and fashion. I am trained in all adobe and fashion design softwares. I took an intensive study course at Parsons School of design for product design and realized how art and design can change the world as we know it. In the Fall of 2019 I am starting at George Washington’s Corcoran School of art to major in Interactive design and minor in both Business and Music. After my undergrad I hope to get a masters in design as well to further my knowledge. I see my future career being oriented around design and how people can interact with technology at a company like Google or Disney. At the moment I am starting my own fashion line of urban clothing and will be giving 12% of every profit to Make a Wish foundation. What I offer to the donors and clients is a well rounded artistic mind and fashionable designer. Whether you would like custom clothing or art for a cover or would like an opinion how what image you would like to have I will be able to help you as the Artistic Director of Studio8.

Ronnie Watts

Songwriter & Vocalist

Ronnie Watts discovered her ability to sing like many others before her – at a young age she was sat in her parent’s bedroom when her mother caught her singing along to a pop song before screaming in excitement – however, everything since then has been wholly unique. In her nostalgic, classic style, Ronnie Watts has spent most of her youth honing her song-writing ability, building a recording studio in her basement, and journaling her heartbreak through the lens of pop music.

Along the way, she’s picked up a slew of dedicated followers on social media, collaborated with producers such as Lemarroy (Sony Music Mexico) on original music and become a regular on the live circuit in New York.

What makes Ronnie Watts connect is her ability to, after singing just a few lyrics, make the walls fall from around you and place you exactly in the time and place she’s singing about – which, much of the time, is somewhere between youthful bliss and teenage angst; a fine line relatable to many of Ronnie’s young followers.

Simply put, Ronnie Watts is the modern hero for suburban teens spending their nights listening to heartbreak tunes in their bedroom.
